Home Decor with Minted

Hi everyone! I’m so excited for today’s post because it marks the first EVER post for Home Decor on The Closet Crush! Today’s post is focused on home decor with Minted. Ever since we moved into our new apartment, we have been waiting for furniture deliveries and putting things together – which honestly felt like forever.  Although we’re still not 100% done, I wanted to share some of my favorite little spots.

We needed to situate where everything would go and then decide on art and decor.  I am SO happy with our choices from Minted both in my little office space (in our bedroom) and in our living room.  For our living room, we chose this incredible piece called “Coming of Age.” This piece is perfect for both Alex & myself since it’s a glimpse of the Manhattan Bridge. We chose to go with a gray frame to contrast with our wall color and other furniture pieces.  For reference, we ordered size 30×30.

For my office/bedroom decor, I wanted it to make it a collage of frames rather than just one. The biggest one (drawing of me in a black dress) was done at Lord & Taylor event that I hosted a few months back.  The five others surrounding the painting are from Minted.  I chose a black frame theme.  For sizing reference, they are all 5×7, except the horizontal city-scape art print (which is 8×10).  Here are the exact art pieces that you see, from left to right: heart-shaped “XO”print, “Be the best version of yourself” (which you can choose the color of the text as well), “Eiffel tower” print, and “Keep it Simple.”

If you can tell from my style, I always go for a more simple look.  I think this definitely translated into our home decor as well. I hope you like our choices as much as I do! Minted is a really great site to shop for your home decor, especially art, because you have the ability to customize the color and finish of your frame, sizing and with some – colors within the image.  It also makes it easy because it shows you the sizing proportion – which I know is a big problem when it comes to finding the perfect piece for that specific area in your home! And the packaging – was incredible.  When everything arrived, we were really happy with the packaging.  All the frames were secure and safe.

My experience with Minted was wonderful and I will definitely order more items from them soon.
