Happy Monday everyone – I hope you enjoyed your weekend! I’m excited to have three day weekends for the next two weeks! But I’m completely in denial that it’ll be 2016 before we know it!
Today, I’m teaming up with Hanes to share with you my thoughts on a Holiday Survival Kit! Being a girl is tough – we all know that. But this is especially true around the holidays. Not only is it a crazy time of year, but you’re expected to ALWAYS look put-together, no matter if you’re sweating doing last minute gift shopping, at your work holiday party during a weekday after you’ve worked 8-9 hours (including going to court in the morning), at a family function running around after your toddler half the time because he’s over the stroller stage…and I can go on and on!
You need 5 things in your closet to survive the holidays:
1. The PERFECT pair of stockings – preferably that don’t rip as you’re putting them on! I love, love, love the quality of these opaque tights from Hanes, it felt as if I was putting on leggings. They are super sturdy and comfortable. It doesn’t cut into your stomach – (don’t you hate when that happens)? Opaque tights are a favorite of mine, especially in the wintertime. You CAN’T survive the holidays without a pair of black tights, you just can’t. I know this pair will last me for a long time and I’m excited to have finally found the right pair!
2. Lipstick – preferably a darker, neutral tone. With this adorable top from Chicwish, I would have gone with a light pink -BUT I’m loving how a darker lip blends with lighter colors. This one is inexpensive and it’s my go-to.
3. Tide To-Go – you NEED it. If you’re like me, you always dirty yourself even when you’re trying to be careful. Face the facts and just get this magical creation – it works!
4. Black Pumps – you’d be surprised at how many women don’t have a simple pair of black pumps. I have ones with laces, a patent leather pair, a pair with gold hardware – but just a simple pump sometimes is actually hard to find. They just go hand-in-hand with your black tights whether you’re wearing a sequins dress, faux leather skirt, or even festive shorts.
5. Last but not least – a handy dandy clutch that will fit everything! Love this Tory Burch one – it’s very spacious and doesn’t look enormous.
What are your top 5 things that you need to survive during the holidays? Thank you so much for reading!
