Another weekend gone, another work week to tackle.  I got a pretty good response to my question in Friday’s post whether you wanted to see more work-inspired outfits! Which is why I’m (trying) to start a little series called “Monday Office Memo.”  Not sure if I will keep up or if it will last – it all depends on the response for this look!

As far as work outfit inspiration, business attire has really evolved.  Obviously, it depends where you work and if your office is very, very corporate then you’re stuck with blue and black suits.  If you have some wiggle room, I suggest you take full advantage.  I’m loving the variety of colored pants from ASOS – these are less than $50.  I went with an extremely simple look, only because you can probably wear the same top and pants a few times over and no one will notice if you change up your accessories.  This outfit would look completely different if I wore nude shoes or booties, different necklace and bag and my hair down.  Right? It’s amazing how much accessories can do damage control.  I always opt for simple looks that I can recycle because who wants to keep buying new clothes every week? It gets exhausting! This top from H&M is a pretty good layering piece and it comes in several colors and prints!

Last but certainly not least, I want to talk a little about my Armitron watch – it’s such a gem! I was and still am a bulky watch type of girl (with one little exception).  I absolutely love the gold tone with the white band contrast…but what really takes the cake are the Swarovski crystals! Such a classy and timeless piece.  It just screams sophisticated =)
