Monday Office Memo - Mixing Colors

Here’s another edition of my series, ‘Monday Office Memo.’ I got several different requests which I will try to incorporate! Some of which were – how to look business casual with jeans, how to dress for work when it’s 90 degrees out, but 65 degrees in the office, and a few more! I thought I’d share this look to show you how to mix and match colors, in a subtle way and to get more use of your clothing! It doesn’t always have to be a solid colored top pair with sold colored slacks. You can incorporate color into your work wardrobe (again, depending on where you work), in a way that it blends. I was thinking of wearing this top with black slacks – but too boring, no?

Gray slacks can be tricky, but are definitely a must-have in your work wardrobe. I just got these pants and LOVE them. I thought I would post before they go out of stock. The fabric is really lightweight and they’re not slim/skinny. I love the pocket detail in the front too – adds some variety to your normal pair of slacks. You’d be surprised at how much you can wear with gray slacks, I highly recommend these if you’re in the market for a pair.

I’m also so excited I just got these heels from Boden. I actually didn’t own a normal pair of gray heels and these are super comfortable. The heel isn’t too high and the tassels are TOO cute. P.S. though, the straps are little difficult to put on. So I would not suggest to wear these shoes if you’re in a hurry in the morning =)

The touches of black to the whole look complimented my Kendra Scott earrings from the new summer collection, right? I can’t seem to take them off!
