Monday Office Memo - Summer Style

Happy 4th of July, everyone! I hope you are enjoying your long weekend and soaking up the sun as much as possible! I am very grateful to all those that have served our country…may there be peace in the world; now more than ever!

I’m spending the day with my lovely fam…there is nothing better than seeing all the kiddies run around and play with each other and just enjoy the day with fun and laughs. Alex and I took Noah to the Central Park zoo this weekend – he had such a great time.

We also went to Astoria to hang out a bit. Alex used to live in Astoria, so it was definitely nice seeing the old neighborhood – especially the restaurants! We went to Cafe Triskell (if you follow me on snap, I’m sure you saw our 4 course meal)! There are lots of great places to have brunch and dinner in Astoria…French, Italian, you name it. Leave it to Alex to find the best places. It’s great for those days when you don’t want to go all the way into the city – for those of you who live toward Queens and Long Island.

For today, I wanted to continue my Monday Office Memo series. You can view my previous posts here, here and here. On those hot summer days, we all want to wear shorts and tanks – but if you work in the business world, obviously it’s not possible. I’m not a fan of wearing pencil skirts often, so I opt for light colors and lightweight pants during the heat. Even though I travel throughout the day for my appearances, I’m inside most of the time and the AC is on full blast. I always, always have a blazer too. I love this top from ASOS because of the crisp, light colors (it’s only $40)! You can’t go wrong with white pants either. They are a great alternative for those boring grays and blues. I’ve probably had the same pair for about three years, believe it or not!
