Happy Wednesday everyone! New York certainly got its share of a chilly fall this week – something I definitely was not ready for! I still didn’t even take out all my sweaters from last year yet and put my summer clothes away (tear, tear).
With that being said, I thought I’d do a different type of post today in honor of the chilly weather and fall fever with Halloween approaching. Here are five ideas of mine that I think you should definitely add to your “fall” to-do list! If you have any other ideas I didn’t think of – leave a comment below!
1. Visit a pumpkin patch!
Noah was only 6 months old here! This is one of my favorite things to do in the fall because of family time! I especially love it now with Noah because of all his reactions to new things that he sees or recognizes from his books, videos and/or toys.
2. Watch Scary Movies (either Disney classics or the hardcore stuff)
I’m not all about scary movies – I know a lot of other people are. I’ll stick with the classics, like Hocus Pocus! Other favorites are Casper, Halloweentown or The Nightmare before Christmas. How many memories do these movies bring back? I always remember watching them with my sisters and having tons of junk food out – we would call it our “Junk Night.”
3. Invest in Some Chunky Knits
Nothing screams fall more than some chunky knits! They are popular every year and are always on the top of my list of things to wear because I’m not a fan of the freezing weather. I just ordered a whole bunch of sweaters from H&M actually – waiting for them to arrive! I linked some of them below, along with my other favorites!
4. Pumpkin-flavored Everything!
Everyone gets into their pumpkin fever in October! Like pumpkin-spice latte, pumpkin pie, pumpkin-spice ice cream, butternut squash soup, pumpkin ravioli and the list goes on. I recently just discovered pumpkin-spice flavored Philadelphia cream cheese (haha) – I swear! What have you seen that was randomly pumpkin-spice flavor?
5. Home Decor
There are SO many cute ideas for home decor right now – everywhere I go! I love to see how people decorate their houses, especially for Halloween. When we went trick o’ treating last year, our neighborhood was something else! Definitely not your average pumpkin collections on the front lawns – I’m talking about “haunted” bodies on swings tied to trees (so funny and creative though) or huge spiders on roofs of homes.
But fall home decor is my favorite! I linked some of my favorite ideas for the home below. What are some ideas you have for decorating your home for fall?
Thanks for reading!

How sweet is your family? Love this idea! I think we've checked everything off besides the decor. I just had a pumpkin praline ice cream that beat a PSL on any day! So good! Have a beautiful day.
