Monday Office Memo: Maternity

Happy Monday all! What a weekend…we are currently in the middle of moving so things have been super hectic. I promised you a Monday Office Memo post and I finally have one up (and it’s a maternity one)! This one is catered to those of you who are struggling to figure out to wear to wear while pregnant – like me. Everything (but my jeans) is non-maternity so this outfit is ‘shoppable’ for all – if it’s your style!

With this growing belly – I am having a really hard time figuring out what to wear to work, especially during the brutal winter. Everything looks better with a pair of pumps – but when it’s 10 degrees out, you opt for boots I’m sure. My absolute favorite go-to outfit for the office includes a blouse, blazer and slacks. The look I’m sharing is more of a business casual look – but I have worn the same outfit with black slacks and ankle booties.

I recently purchased this French Connection sweater (I sized up and bought a medium) and I’m so happy with it! I love the detailing. I paired it with my favorite J.Crew regent blazer. I bought it before Black Friday and honestly don’t know why I didn’t have it in my closet sooner. It is the best fitting blazer I own – and you know how much I adore a good blazer. It is currently on sale – up to 30% off with code HEARTYOU. I think with this pregnancy and my first – the only ‘maternity’ item I bought was a pair of jeans. These are from Madewell (I’m wearing a size 27). I definitely prefer these more than the ones that have the band around your belly – that way you don’t see the line underneath your top or blouse. I highly recommend Madewell denim – great quality!

For my next Monday Office Memo post – I will incorporate a more ‘corporate’ and/or ‘professional’ look because if you’re like me, you only have ONE dress down day during the week! Trust me my fellow preggers, I am totally with you on the hardship of dressing up everyday. As much as I want to look ‘put-together’ – it’s so difficult because in a few minutes, you can get so uncomfortable.
