Temps are starting to (slowly) warm up here in NYC and I seriously can’t wait to break out my tops, dresses and booties for spring. Today’s post is centered toward maternity spring style – but the items I’m wearing are not maternity. I always like to get as much wear out of each item I purchase during my pregnancy as possible.
One piece of advance to all expecting mama’s – invest in lots of stretchy dresses! It’s probably the best item in your closet, whether for work or just casual wear. They stretch as you grow and you can still wear them after your pregnancy. I’m sure lots of you can relate, right?
This particular dress I’m wearing is by Leith and is a bit see-through. Here are some options you have: wear a slip underneath, wear the dress under a cardigan and/or jacket, or wear it with leggings and/or jeans. After reading reviews online, one customer actually recommended that this be worn as a swimsuit cover-up which is such a great idea as well! Also, this trench is so gorgeous! I love the deep navy blue color – the satin material really makes it pop too. For under $100, it’s a great option to have for spring and summer – a light layer over your dresses, rompers or shorts.
