The best accessory to have during the fall/winter months is a faux fur bomber, jacket, coat or vest. I swear, it makes the world a difference.  I have several in a few colors and they always manage to amp up a super, simple (rather boring) outfit.

I recently got this one from Lord & Taylor – which is currently on sale, but sizes are going fast.  I also found it at Bloomingdale’s available in all sizes. I’m actually wearing a medium – it’s a bit on the shorter side, so I sized up.  I usually size down with faux fur items because they tend to be boxy and bulky.  It’s one of my favorite types of outerwear; it is very NYC chic.  It’ll also work really well for the holiday season – and you get to add a bit of warmth to your outfits!

I also got these boots from Goodnight Macaroon recently – I want them in every color now! They have quickly become a pair that I reach for on a daily basis.  I love the low, block heel – making it practicable to wear everyday. I’m wearing a size 38 for reference.  And if you’re wondering if these stay up – they do! I’ve worn them over jeans, leggings, pantyhose and even over bare legs with a dress.  They are pretty snug. I’ve had pairs of boots that kept falling as I walked and yes – that is totally annoying!
