Happy Wednesday everyone! Today, I’m excited to be teaming up with Maggy London to share my “DESK – TO – DRINKS” look, styling this Illusion Top in black. If you’re anything like me, you are ALWAYS on the run – always driving, going from place to place – literally ALL day long. It’s until I’m writing a blog post for the next day that it’s almost midnight or just past it, that I ask myself – where did the day go?!
As an attorney (yes, I know – I never really talk about it or mention it) – I go to court 95% of the time. During the week, I miss my comfy, casual clothes because I always have to be in a suit, slacks, skirt and/or heels. I am a total jeans/leggings/comfy sweaters and knits kinda girl; so maybe that is why I never really blog about my work clothes – they get sickening! Lol! I always have two or three bags with me when I head to work, one of which is a change of
clothes for an occasion or function that I have after work. I always try to minimize how much I bring so I try to utilize the pieces I’m already wearing for work and style it differently for my evening events.

I wanted to share with you how it is easy to style a look from day-to-night, or “desk-to-drinks” by using the same top. It’s crazy how it looks completely different in both looks right? You can style this Illusion Top for work in a classy, simple and sophisticated way by just adding some more black! That is, of course, if your job allows you to wear tops that are not only button-ups. I would let the sheer silhouette stand out because it’s just that amazing. You can add a white blazer instead of the black to add a little contrast!
As for my night look, I went for something completely different. You can also style the top with black jeans, but I can’t live without my blue distressed denim. I added a little edge to the Illusion top with a moto jacket and a pop of red with my handbag. For nighttime – you can always add a little flare and edge!
How would you style this top? Are you a crazy, on-the-go person like I am? Then you feel my pain (haha). Thanks so much for reading!

It's amazing what a difference swapping the type of black jacket and pants make. Both such fun looks and great pieces.
