Barneys New York TGIG (Thank God I Graduated) Promotion

I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing of an opportunity it was to go to Barneys New York on 7th Avenue. The location downtown on 7th Avenue is so much more intimate than the one on Madison Avenue. It definitely has more of a boutique-feel, which I love!

My shopping experience was an absolute pleasure, thanks to the amazing stylist, Michaele! Not only did she cater to my specific needs (and boy am I picky), but she proactively asked about my shopping desires, and gave her suggestions along the way.

We, of course, started with shoes – I couldn’t resist. She first asked my shoe size; luckily, she was the same size as me so right away, she knew what size in a particular brand or designer would be a perfect fit for me, whether they ran small or large. I picked some of my favorite styles to try on, such as suede pumps, floral slides and a bow heel. She had an app on her phone where she looked up availability for a specific size/style – how convenient! I also really appreciated that if a style I liked wasn’t available, she wouldn’t just end there. Michaele brought out a similar option that she thought I would love just as much; and she was RIGHT. Michaele actually convinced me to purchase a second pair of Golden Goose sneakers too – I love the picture of us in our matching sneakers!

I mentioned to Michaele that I have a slight obsession with blazers. Right away, she showed me the black and gold Saint Laurent blazer on the mannequin (pictured above). It was actually the first item that caught my attention when I walked up to the 2nd floor to browse and shop the women’s section. She didn’t even ask for my size – she already knew just by looking at me! How incredible! We continued to browse through more blazers (I mean, it was eye candy of course) and she chose options that I could easily wear with my outfit.

Throughout my entire shopping experience, there was one recurring theme.  Michaele, my stylist, always sought out items that she thought and knew I desired! She is so knowledgeable about the world’s top designers that are sold within Barneys, as well as the fit and quality. She was also extremely helpful when it was time to narrow down some options. She would point out what she believed would be the best fit for my body type. I wish Michaele can always be my shopping buddy!

Michaele showed me her favorite styles in dresses, which of course included ruffles! Throughout our shopping experience, we found out that we have many things in common. It makes such a difference when you have a personable experience while shopping, rather than someone that is only interested in making a sale and who doesn’t cater to your needs.  Michaele was also sweet enough to go downstairs to the 1st floor and show me options for handbags.  Guys, you can have ONE stylist to help you throughout the entire store AND while shopping for everything, from clothes to shoes to bags.

It was such a pleasant experience to shop alongside stylist Michaele at Barneys New York. I was so appreciative of her help and expertise! I suggest you run to your nearest Barneys New York and take advantage of this amazing promotion! And congratulations to the class of 2018!
