To many, yesterday was the official end of summer. Lots of people going back to school! To those starting another year or semester – best of luck to you. I’m trying to hang onto summer for as long as possible. It usually doesn’t hit me until Labor Day is over.
I wanted to share an easy transitional fall outfit idea with you. I actually wore this Saturday evening when Alex and I went to the movies. It was a comfortable evening and this outfit was perfect. I was planning to layer this sleeveless sweater with a button-up underneath – but last minute decided not to. It would be a great ‘back-to-school’ option for those that want to look preppy. The side slits make it easy for the layered look to work.
I basically did a mix of all fall shades in this outfit (olive, berry and taupe)! I also recently got these booties for the upcoming fall season. I always try to get at least one pair of black and nude peep-toe booties (either with laces or not) because I know they will be my go-to with lots of outfit options. These are fairly reasonably priced if you’re looking to wear them constantly. They also run true to size!
